DOES MY VIDEO HAVE TO BE PROFESSIONALY PRODUCED?
Not at all. Whether you record your video in a pro studio or simply sing into the mic on your laptop computer, remember, you are being judged on your talent. That said, the song can be acoustic or fully produced--as long as you are prepared to sing it LIVE!

CAN I SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE VIDEO?
No. Only one entry per person/group please. You pick your best and send that in!

CAN I MAIL MY VIDEO TO STAR 98.7?
No. At this time, we are ONLY accepting wmv and mov email entries. By eliminating CD/DVD ripping, encoding, and uploading, we are able to process and post your entries much faster!

WHY WON'T MY VIDEO UPLOAD?
Make sure your video is under 4 minutes and either a WMV (Window Media) or MOV (QuickTime) file. Please note: videos should be at a resolution of 320x240 (anything bigger may slow or crash your video upload process). In fact, if your video is over 8MB, it may not upload at all. Try and keep your video files under 8MB. If necessary, there are many free programs out there that can convert video files to the correct format and size. Or, just ask that "computer" friend for help.

WHY WON'T MY PHOTO UPLOAD?
Make sure your photo is a .jpg or .gif format. Secondly, if the file size of your photo is too large, it will not upload. We recommend resizing your photos to a smaller proportion as it will automatically be resized. You can resize your photos at www.snipshot.com for free.

WHERE IS MY EMAIL CONFIRMATION?
You should receive an email confirmation within a few minutes after submitting your video. If however you don't receive one within 24 hours, please email us here.

WHERE IS MY VIDEO?
Since we have to review each entry, it may take up to 72 hours to post approved entries-- especially closer to the contest deadline. If we feel you have violated the official rules in any way or provided invalid/incomplete info, your video will not be posted and you will be notified via email.
