We try to write music so it can be interpreted in many different ways. This song was written after going through a time of difficulty, and finally realizing I couldn’t get through it on my own. We didn’t get the chance to make the video itself that great, but hopefully you'll find the song is. Our Band is called August Rising, and we're made up of Jeff Stauning, David Hayes, and Patrick Hernandez. We all have a lot of experience in the different music projects we've each been in, but something powerful came together once we played music as a whole. L. A. born, singer/songwriter Amber Rose Kelly, 21, is seasoned with rock star looks, 2 albums of material and tour ready! She started writing songs at age 11, and came onto the L.A. music scene at barely 15 years old, when she played The 1st Annual Accept & Respect Festival. By age 16, she was playing on the Sunset Strip, as a solo acoustic artist. At 17, she wrote and released “Don’t Let Me Go”, which reached #1 on the Soundclick.com Acoustic Vocals Charts after only 7 days online, and it stayed there for 5 months straight. “Don’t Let Me Go”, is currently included on The Best of Sound Aid CD released July 2007, at The 1st Sound Aid Concert in Salem OR in July 2007 and is available at CD Baby. In 2006, she competed for a $1 MIL Recording Contract from Bodog Records, and formed the (former) Amber Rose Band. She was the only “female fronted band” in L.A. to make it to the Bodog Battle of the Bands Semi-Finals, and she held her own against 19 of Los Angeles's Best MALE fronted Bands! “Let the Loving Start” (LLS) the music video is Kimly’s first semi-professionally produced music video, shot guerilla-style in Orange County for less than $200 (costs mainly in food). The song was composed, produced and performed by Kimly on guitar, violin, “bass guitar” and vocals, featuring Mike H. on drums, Jim W. on violin, and April H. on cello, and guest directed by Lex White. LLS is a song about learning how to open up, let go, and show some love. Kimly is a So Cal native, born and raised, currently working on her first produced EP, with a tentative release date during Summer 2008.
